ANNIMAL DANS was founded in the Winter of 2010 by Isabel Cuesta and Raúl Saldarriaga for the research and production of their artistic collaboration.

ANNIMAL DANS researches the contemporary body in movement as well as the shift of human consciousness in response to the new challenges of global society.

"In these fluid times of virtual realities, the body seems to disappear becoming virtual subject and object.

In response to this, we propose a re-appearance of the body, from the base of its instincts and affects, from the traces left behind its interaction with virtual and physical reality.

In this way we also propose a re-evaluation of human ethics and the appearance of a spiritual body as the essence of humanity

We depart from our vision on what we like to call “the animal body” which is deeply conditioned and “formatted” by its habitat, whose ancestral instincts and body memories mutate accordingly to the environment, generating a re-configuration of instincts, concepts and ethics."
