THE BODY AS LANDSCAPE OF NARRATIVES
"As a dance artist I view the body, with its thoughts and emotions, as a landscape of narratives and see it moving/dancing in a geography of past and future projections and present sensations.
I view the body in movement as a transparent entity transforming itself and the world it acts upon. In mychoreographic work, the sentient body informs and sharpen awareness. The creative process becomes a journey to expanded dimensions of consciousness; through landscapes of the soul.
As a journalist the body becomes for me the centre of political, social and economic discourse. My focus is on the bodies affected by forced displacement: war, globalization, oppressing economies and global warming.
LANDSCAPES OF THE SOUL - GEOMETRY OF SPACE/TIME
Both, as an artist and journalist my work is about raising awareness.
Through dance I become a bridge-builder between worlds: the sentient body and the possibility of attaining expanded states of consciousness.
Observing and telling through journalistic writing about individuals and communities in a world changing frontiers I try to dig into hidden agendas and to make them visible to the public".
