Isabel Cuesta Camacho is a choreographer, dancer and journalist, born in Bogotá (Colombia) at 2655 meter above sea level, a great-grand-daughter of a woman from the Colombian Uitoto tribe.
Cosmopolitan and eclectic by nature, she studied Medicine at the Goethe University of Frankfurt before starting her dance training in London. As a freelance choreographer she has worked in Germany, The Netherlands and Colombia.
She holds a Master Degree in Choreography from the Dance Unlimited Program of ArtEZ Arnhem, The Netherlands as well as a Master in Journalism from the School of Journalism of the Spanish newspaper El País.
Isabel has written articles on dance for difference magazines. Her book The compositional body won the Dance Research Award of IDARTES in 2013 and was published in 2014.
As a reporter she has worked for El País in Madrid. Currently she works as a freelance journalist and dance artist.
