TANZLANDSCHAFT COLOMBIA presents:

Eduardo Oramas

is dancer, docent and performance artist. He started his artistic training in 1995 and graduated with a Master Degree in Theatre and Performance Arts from the Universidad National in Bogotá, Colombia.

Besides his artistic education he also graduated as Anthropologist from the Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá.

Since 2005 Eduardo has been creating dance contemporary pieces as well as theatre and circus performances.

He has won several prizes in Colombia such as “Pasantía Nacional para Formación” from the Colombian Ministry of Culture in 2007, the prize “Beca de Creación en Danza” in 2008 and “Beca para la Creación Interdisciplinar” in 2009 from the Secretaría de Cultura from Bogotá.

Currently he is docent at the ASAB Faculty of Arts in Bogotá and has recently founded the artists collective “Carne de Colmillo”.

FELICITACIONES

"Felicitaciones" (Contratulations) is a performatic proposal about vices and extremes. The movement vocabulary is of intense physicality; repetition playing an important part of the dramaturgy of the piece. The actions demand from the performer stamina and power, as well as  a listening attitude to the flow of actions, one after the other.

"Congratulation" is the kind of celebretion, that you would rather miss.
