TANZLANDSCHAFT VENEZUELA presents:
Armando Díaz is Principal Dancer for Venezuelan National Dance Company and artistic Director and choreographer of the Dance Company Sieteocho. Born in Caracas he graduated from the BA in Dance from IUDANZA (today UNEARTES). As a Dancer he has worked for the dance companies DRAMO, Estación Creativa, Ballet Teresa Carreño, Ensamble Coreográfico Experimental, Espacio Alterno, Agente Libre, Taller de Danza de Caracas and Sarta de Cuentas.
He started his work as a choreographer in 2001 in the Festival for Young Choreographers and keeps participating continuously in this Festival until 2009. He has been commissioned to choreograph for the companies Taller de Danza de Caracas, Puropie and Ballet Nuevo Mundo de Caracas. As a choreographer and dancer he has participated in Festivals in Peru, Mexico, France, Cuba, Uruguay, Colombian, Korea and Venezuela. This is a choreographic piece about homosexuality in today's society.
Two men travel through their inner landscapes on the search for answers. On this dance journey they reveal the hidden, private turmoil of living in a world that can be sordid, cruel and ironic.
